Study was conducted to assess the feasibility and the cost differences between four vaccination strategies (static point, integrated with livestock, integrated with human health services, and school-based approaches) in Kyegegwa district. The static point method emerged as the least costly option, in terms of total costs per strategy and cost per dog vaccinated. This study emphasizes the need for further research to tailor vaccination strategies to specific contexts, considering factors like geographic location, community demographics, and cultural norms. In summary, we try to provide valuable insights into the complexities of conducting effective dog mass vaccination campaigns in resource-limited settings. It highlights the importance of long-term monitoring, vaccination coverage, and adaptability to local conditions in designing and implementing successful rabies control programs.
